WSUPC Database
The WSU Psychology Clinic Database leverages routine clinical data to support research and clinical training.
Summary
The WSUPC Database will house comprehensive information from psychological and neuropsychological assessments completed through the Psychology department training clinic at Wayne State University including demographics, patient expectations and desired outcomes, diagnoses, clinician characteristics, subscale and item level assessment data, and contact information to support future recruitment and follow up. The database is currently under development and is not yet available for research use.
Current Progress
Develop standardized assessment batteries that establish a consistent set of core measures across cases.
Develop database structure in REDCap, establish procedures for integrating database activities into routine clinical workflows, and pilot procedures prior to implementation.
Begin entering data from existing records and new assessment cases using the finalized database structure and clinical workflows. Conduct ongoing quality checks and update the database and related procedures as clinical practices and research needs evolve.
Planned Studies
Develop and validate novel performance (PVT) and symptom validity (SVT) tests
Evaluate the psychometric properties of existing measures across different demographic and clinical samples
Examine how psychological and sociocultural factors influence cognitive test performance and symptom reporting
Evaluate the effectiveness of standardized assessment training
